# How to Make It:
- Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and add cold water to cover them by at least 1 inch.
- Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water to help prevent cracking and facilitate peeling.
- Set the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, immediately cover the pan with a lid and remove it from the heat source.
- Let the eggs sit covered for 10 to 12 minutes; 10 minutes yields slightly creamy yolks, 12 minutes yields fully set centers.
- While eggs rest, prepare a large bowl filled with ice water.
- Transfer eggs to the ice water bath using a slotted spoon and cool for at least 5 minutes.
- Gently crack and peel the eggs under running cold water to remove shells easily.
